The ridge road and cap Canaille
This is the secondary road D 141 with a length of 15 km which will take you from Cassis to La Ciotat. The road rises up to 363 meters. You will encounter many points of view facing the sea and towards Cassis. Cape Canaille is the second highest cliff in Europe with a maximum of 394 m and an average well above 300 m. It offers breathtaking views over the Mediterranean Sea, Cassis and the Calanques. To take pictures, think that Cassis is facing the sun at night. For comparison the cliffs at Etretat have an average height of 90m.
